  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

Sac, do you have any ETA on CB5 launching?

Two weeks or so. They're pushing a LOT of new stuff into this upcoming patch but they do want to release it as soon as they can.

I won't mind as long as the mods are cheap, or better yet, have a chance of dropping after a match. I will be more than a little irked if there are several "super" augments that can only be bought with Crisis Coins or something. Pay-to-win isn't exactly how I want to see Infinite Crisis turn out.

I wouldn't expect that....they will liekly all cost Merit Coins, if there is even a cost.  Any MOBA that goes pay to win will get shuttered.

I assure you, I'm glad to hear that :)

So, they showed off the new item icons in this video; did you notice? We've got all of the new icons ready and will swap our current ones over as soon as the new patch drops. The new icons are definitely more easily identified at a glance.

You know, at first I thought those were the icons for the Mods they were adding...then realized these were icons for the items...an entire artistic overhaul!!!  Not sure if I like them better, but I'll see =) Do you know (in your Turbine talks) if they plan to make an option to turn off those annoying info pop ups?  Whenever I left click anything, I get the info pop up, but it takes up real estate....I have died or lost a kill numerous times because my target is behind the pop up =)

I don't lke them, they look weird.... to be honest.

My brain hurts. Zatanna..... GL.... Ivy.... Gunna be more OP

But you will be as well.  Maybe you can boost your Power Damage Armor, so they are not as powerful...or you're AD so you hurt them easier.  This exists in LoL as well....but the ability to mod items reminds me a bit of Awesomenauts, but this is another level.  Making your expected items better or cheaper is insanely awesome.

By the way, what do you guys think of the art released for the new Joker Champion? (Infinite Crisis has it on their facebook page)
    5:41 pm, Oct 8th, 2013
    Atomic joker looks funny
    6:44 pm, Oct 8th, 2013
The bow, or what ever it is he's holding, looks pretty funny.  But, that's what Joker is; someone who you don't expect.  I just hope he's made right so I can test him out and see if he's ment to be in the game.  #betadude! However, I don't like how you can make certain items cost less.  That'll just make looking at guides and player builds that much more mainstream.  I AM one that looked at guides (during new character inclusions during beta), but that was becuase I hated wasting people's time making shitty builds that helped no one or making a shitty build that didn't help me or my team (Beta in a nutshell  :/ ).  I did make variations depending one what team I was up against.  But, the thought of making items cost less only helps those who are doing worse while seriously buffing those who are doing better.  The snowball-effect that I see in most MOBAs and in this one would just make this game too unbalanced... imo ofcourse. Just some food for thought.

I don't want the augments to end up like runes and masteries in League of Legends. However, I don't like have around 13-15 armor at the start of a game as Cyborg or Green Lantern. Hopefully Turbine will get a good balance. The mods for items seem really cool, but aside from reducing the cost of an item, I don't see what they could do that an added passive or upgrade couldn't do. We'll just have to wait and see.
