  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

    Robin:  The Boy Blunder

This is a very general guide for Robin, and takes a quick look at his potential.

Robin is a support character.  That means you should be in a lane with another person.
Robin is a niche character.  He excels in picking people off, and throwing them out of position.
Robin is melee range.  You have to be next to the person to hit them.
Robin is attack based.  He scales on attack damage. (And rather well)

Looking at these aspects of him.  Your job as Robin is to buff your carry, and take the damage.  This sadly makes Robin a tank.  On the plus side a tank is really easy to build.

    Mods:
-100 Nil Item (I like the Nil Weapon, you might prefer the Nil Cloak)
    -250 Fragment Of Mogo (3)
    -250 Spear Of Destiny (2)

    Amps:
You have 2 major options when it comes to this, and more options down the line.  Though I'm doing general options at the moment.

    Set 1: Movement
Holt: Power Armor (G)/Movement Speed (S)
Wayne: Power Armor (S)/Movement Speed (B)
Wayne: Attack Armor (S)/Movement Speed (B)
Holt: Attack Armor (G)/Movement Speed (S)
    Total: Power Armor: 5.79 / Attack Armor: 5.79 / Movement Speed: 9.74

The point to this set is to take less damage, and make sure you can always be in someone's face.

    Set 2: Health
    Holt: Power Armor (G)/Health (S)
    Wayne: Health (G)/Power Armor (S)
    Wayne: Health (G)/Attack Armor (S)
    Holt: Attack Armor (G)/Health (S)
    Totals: Power Armor: 5.79 / Attack Armor: 5.79 / Health: 91.82

This option is to survive longer in the lane phase.  Honestly I like option one better, but option 2 is fine as well.

    Skills:

    E: Dynamic Duo

Cast this one someone else, and you both get the bonus that it grants.  This is his major support skill, and should be pumped up as priority.  It grants movement speed, and life steal/power steal (yes it does both).  This is what makes him so amazing to be in lane with.  He is a steroid.  The only down side is spamming this ability will drain you fast.  So be careful on use.

    Passive: This Guy!

Attack someone, and they recieve extra damage on the next skill casted on them.  This lasts for 6 seconds, and eventually has a 6 second cool down.  When they are attacked with a skill the person who does so gains, energy or will back based on the level of this skill.  Pumping it up second will allow whoever your in lane to almost have no will cost as you trade back, and forth.

This is combined with his E allows your lane partner to destroy whoever is in the lane with you.  You aren't about getting the kills, and this helps seal the deal rather nicely.

    Q: Vault Kick

Honestly this move takes some getting use to.  Though it has a 100% attack damage bonus!  It works best if you combine it with Bo Master so that you can get deep into the back lines of a fight to throw someone out of position.  This is really good for getting into the fray of things, and the cooldown of leveling it up allows you to get in, ult, anduse it again later in the fight to help either peel or get another person out of position.  It gets pumped up third.

    W: Bo Master

This is Suit Of Sorrows (4) for free!  It also is a nice slow until you get Lobos.  Pump up last as you gain the most benifit from it at rank 1.

    R: Emergent Leader

This skill has it's up's and downs.  It's amazing if you combine it with Bo Master, and Vault Kick to get into the back lines of the fight only to throw everyone out of position.  Though because it throws everyone out of position is what makes him a niche character.  There are so many heros that focus on everyone being clumped together that he throws that synergy out the window.  It's really useful in the lane phase to seperate the enemy carry from their support, and can counter that Wonder Woman ult that sucks everyone in together.  Since the skill doesn't gain any cool down as you level it up, and the buff it grants your team is very small.  Not to mention it'll be near impossible to give the buff to the proper people in a fight.  Keeping it at rank 1 is all you will need, and it gets pumped up fourth   Though time will only tell what will happen with Robin, as this skill is what shall make or break him.

Starting with your Nil Weapon or Nil Cloak and Modular Tektite Vial (3) will give you the sustain you need in the early game.

Figure out what you are up against in lane.  If you are up against an attack carry then rush Fragment Of Mogo (3), and if you are up against a power carry rush Spear Of Destiny (2).  Either way rush the other item right afterwards.

Fragment of Mogo is one of the best items in the game even after the nerfs to it, and Spear of Destiny is not only stand alone cost effective, but it synergizes with the concept at hand.  Build health, attack damage, attack armor, and power armor.  You now have all 4 of those with your first 2 items.

Rush a [[Lobo's Chain (4)]] to help lock down any target that you single out, and it synergizes with what you all ready have.

[[Ra's al Ghul's Robe (2)]] is yet another amazing item to have in the game.  It helps keep you alive, and it's passive is something almost every character should shoot for at one point or another.  A second life is more important then almost anything in the game.

    Option Items:

[[Speed Force Battery (2)]] is one of the best initiation items in the game.  In fact it's so good as a carry over from other games that it's really hard to not purchase.

Olympus Gambit (4) is to be completely honest.  Meh.  Though if you fall into the 100% support role this item is amazing as you become a tanking god.  You will be almost unkillable, but you will rely on your team to do all the heavy lifting for you if you go this route.

Coda Blade (4) is if your starting to snowball, and fine Olympus Gambit to not have the punch you're looking for.  It's a fine option to take since you don't need to worry about life steal due to your E you can build into straight damage if you wish.

Atomic Axe (2) is an alternative to Coda Blade.  Normally a better later game item then Coda Blade, and gives you the damage you need to help go to victory.

That about wraps everything up.  I tried to make this as simple as possible, and I hope it serves you well.
