  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

My guide is the original, please do not rank the Love Conquers All guide, it's a blatant ripoff.

To give you a basic background on me, I have so far hated all blasters, Catwoman a little less. So I was a bit skeptical and knew I was taking a gamble when I bought Star Sapphire. I tell you what, I couldn't be more happy with her results. For one, I hate kiting, so Joker is out. Green Lantern is actually more squishy than Star Sapphire from personal play. And I don't like that Catwoman has melee attacks mixed with range skills.

Now the item guide is a work in progress, but basically you'll want to start with atlantean seal for the extra health, max it out quickly, she's actually more resilient then you'd think, I found that mana regeneration wasn't completely necessary at beginning game, and I was heavily pressing Q. I then grab Nil ring for the mana regeneration for mid/late game. After that, I found you'll have all the health you'll need and all the mana regen you'll need for some heavy usage. But if you do need a little bit more health, I suggest the cosmic belt, if not, then the cosmic staff folows up nicely. The items on the list are a suggestion, and can be bought at whatever point. I included radion shard to emphasize the point of buying refundable items when you're saving up for items that cost 1500 or so.

    Using each ability:

Q ability: Launch the crystal around the placement of where the enemy is, and you'll continually move it around the map, this is why I suggest leveling up her passive early so you can make the most of his dash ability. It can also be used for kiting when being chased, press Q behind them, run away and it'll naturally dash through them damaging them for high damage so long as passive is leveled up. You could also pre-emptively place it where you can press W as they run by it.

W ability: Not much to say, if crystal is attached she'll be a walking bomb. Otherwise I like to make sure my crystal is always sitting out and using W as a tripmine of sorts.

E ability: Much more useful than I thought, if your crystal is placed and you hit a champion with it, will bind them to crystal. Which it does not say that when you read the spell text. A great setup is to have your crystal nearby, then pull them toward with Crystal followed by your ult, followed by W, it's quite devastating.

Ult ability: When using her ult make sure you set it up, people will do one of two things, rush you to kill you, or try to run away. So your best bet is to Q the crystal behind them damaging them in the process, then summoning your beast to attack away, make sure you press R to make him attack your target. Or if you have the crystal near them then it also does a nice stun. Just never ult without crystal out, it never goes well. When tower rushing it's amazing to see the looks on their face when they just barely made it to the tower safely and you spawn your beast there, I got a double kill doing that once.

I have found Star Sapphire is good at multiple roles:

-She is great for tower rushing, launch in using Q, move it around a couple times, press W, it does very nice damage.

-She is great at applying pressure on multiple targets as well, most duo teams will generally stay close to each other, well dash and W exploit that nonsense. This is also nice for clearing creep mobs and jungle mobs.

    -great at kiting (read above)

-And the piece de resistance, is using her as an "assassin" in the technical sense, meaning, you set a trap and do high damage. What you'll want to do is place her gem in between two invisible pads when no one is looking (and obviously stand in one), now they know you're there, but not where, and you're ready to start moving the gem around and causing mayhem.

-Star Sapphire. contrary to popular belief is great against all champions I have played so far, can usually win in a one on one fights, and in a 2-3 on 1 fight can usually take one down with her. She plays all lanes well solo or not, only issue I ran into was a joker and he never posed a deadly threat until he gangged up on me.

    Gotham Heights Game

Gotham Divided Game Not as impressive stats, but still not bad.

Overall she's just an amazing blaster coming from a guy who hates power users, she can do some wicked damage and set up some wicked combos. I have also found very short cooldown times from her, which is always a plus, I was almost always pressing Q which is her staple ability imo.
Hopefully this will give you good insight on how to use her, and maybe make an even better version of her! And as stated, I will be updating the guide as I learn tricks and tweak her item sets.
