  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

    Introduction

Just wanted to give a quick thank you for taking the time to read my guide. Hope you enjoy it :D

When I first began playing Infinite Crisis I always assumed the role of support would be a dull position. That thinking changed when was released. I had found a champion who I not only loved to play but also started to enjoy the role of support. In Infinite Crisis the support role can actually dish out quite a bit of damage as well as swing the tide of a teamfight due to there abilities. I also feel that the fact that we do not have to invest money into warding and de warding allows us to really experiment with our item builds and enjoy diversity.

After a brief period of time not playing I came back to when Atomic Poision Ivy was released. That is when I found out about now I am quite a fan of Robin and was quite ecstatic to finally be able to play him in Infinite Crisis. The fact that he was designed arround being a support made sense as well as making it a very comfotorable addition to my support champion pool.

Robin in my opinion has one the best engage/disengage power off all the champions of IC. His kit just allows him to do everything you could want really. The way I play Robin is as an annoying support whom you either have to kill or his presence will just kill you. What I mean by that is that you invest in heavy aura items that provide your team with stats. This makes the enemies want to focus you which in turn allows your allies to go unharmed. I also do pick up atleast one damage item towards the late game as to do a little bit more in a teamfight.

    Amplifiers & Stolen Powers

Currently Dawnbase does not have a system to show Augments hought it would be best to inclue it into the guide as to make new players have an easier time playing. For me I typically choose to use the discounted Nil Cloak (100 Credits off) the Holt Holdings Mod (Improved Aura Slow)  as well as the Queen Industries Mod ( Improves the Olympus Gambit Aura) This just allows me to purchase more potions early and allows my aura items to just be a tad more annoying to deal with. I then use Cliff, Fortress, Mountain, and Phalanx. Two of these augmenst give me flat armor while the other two scale throughout the game. The reason I choose these as opposed to other augs is the fact that Robin is melee and will get poked in lane. If you wanted to you could run Movespeed or Cooldown as both of those scale quite well on Robin.

As for Stolen Powers I juse use X-Ray Vision if you can invest in getting Atomic Poison Ivy to level 5 to unlock her verision as the shorter cooldown is just great. And I use Robins own version of Security Cameras as it allows you have to start of with 5 of them.

    Item Build

For my starting items I usally grab Nil Cloak and 3 Modular Tektite Vials. This allows me to take the poke from being a melee champion brings as well gives me the regen I need to stay in lane. You can start Nil Weapon if either the enemy support is melee, but I feel Cloak is just the safer option at the moment. Every game I always grab this trio of items Olympus Gambit, Amulet of Isis and Metallo's Heart. Olympus Gamibt provides an amazing aura that allows your team to take a few more hits as well as an amazing active in the form of Bastion. Metallo's Heart is just a hassle to go against making there marksmen do less DPS. And Amulet of Isisi provide another way to engage ot disengage with the huge movespeed active.

Following those three items I grab a damage item. Typically I get Deathstrokes Claymore to give me that bit of damage that I can stay relevant towards the late game. You can get a diffrent damage item suchs as Lobo's Chains if you want to be a bit beefier or you can go Sword of Beowulf if there team is Power heavy. The last two items are more prefrence then anything, I tend to grab Fragment of Mogo to add to my damage with it's active. But if you feel that you need more Armor you can grab a Suit of Sorrows or if you feel that you want to be even more of a nuisance you can grab a Oa Gambit or Atlantis Gambit.

    Skill Order

For starters you want to skill like this R>Q>E>Passive>W. Reasoning behind this is that you always want your Ultimate ability. Maxing Q allows you have more damage and a lower cooldown on it. E scales with better movespeed and lifesteal. W only scales with the slow so it is better to leave it at level 1. And your passive does more damage and gives back more will/energy per each level.

    Now onto the usage.

This Guy! -  You should always try to proc your passive when it comes off cooldown either on a minion to regen some will back on either you or the carry. Or on an enemy champion to dish out some extra damage. Do not be afraid to take a shot to get the passive off tit will usually be worth it.

Vault Kick - With your Q you want to typically use to get behind and enemy coupled with using your W and then proceed to harass someone down in lane. You can also try to sneak behind a champion and use a regular Q to get the enemy into a position where they will not be able to run easily without either dieing or taking a ton of harass. You can also use your Q to kick away an opponent to stop them from killing and ally or use it as a means to escape from the enemies.

Bo Master - Your W allows you to take some more auto attacks as well as giving you the option to chase down an opponent with the slow built in it. If you use W and then Q you will not proc This Guy! nor will it knockback the opponent that got hit. So remeber that if you ever want to peel of someone it is better to Q first and if they keep chasing hit them with W to get your ally safely.

Dynamic Duo - Typically you don't want to spam this unless you are either trying to sustain back up. Or are about to enegage in a teamfight, typically you want to throw this onto the marksmen of your team so usually a cyborg or mecha wonderwoman. You can also throw this on your mid laner as it does give power lifesteal. It also gives movement speed so don't forget to use it if you are trying to escape or help an ally escape.

Emergent Leader - I love this skill. Great for engaging by using a Vault Kick coupled with Bo Master and getting right into the middle of there team. It does a great job of

    Conclusion

I feel that Robin is one of the funnest champions I have ever played across all MOBAS and just offers so much to a team. I feel that his agressive style coupled with his kit does require good communication from your allies but once you can get that down pat you should be able to destroy the opposition as him. Remeber to have fun in game guys and if you have any comments or advice towards this guide feel free to either add me in game - SpartnaKirby or leave a message here. I know that my grammar and puncuation are not the best  but I do hope to improve on that. So thanks again for reading :D
