  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

    Stolen Powers
Welcome to Athron's Guide to Nightmare Batman.

In his current state nightmare batman is stealthy assassin with incredible late game power, and unmatched dueling power.

    Stolen Powers
      Flash's Super Speed
      Zantana's Physic Assult
      Shazam's Invulnerability
      Posion Ivy's Healing Wave

I prefer to run Super Speed and Physic Assult as it provides the greatest chasing potential (something hard to come by in this game) allowing you to speed up while slowing the enemy down will allow you to make plays and secure kills you often wouldn't be able to. Other acceptable powers in my opinion are Invulnerability and Healing wave. I would either run one set or the other as they synergize well. The Super Speed / Physic Assult for mobility and chasing. While Invulnerability / Healing Wave for standing your ground and fighting vs more oponets.

    Item Build
The build is fairly straight forward and listed above. For a safer start you can opt to go the Nil Weapon with rank 1 Claws of Horrus. The reason to rush the Beowulf's Sword is the flat 200 dmg shield that is really strong early and doesn't scale. Even with this shield the early game is one of your weakest, during this time you should be looking to take advantage of the short cool down on your Q by harassing enemies off points and slowing chasing enemies for your team. Once you complete your main 3 items (Cheetah's Claws, Claws of Horrus, and Sword of Beowulf) you have reached mid game. This is when you start to come in to your own. These three items have incredibly strong synergy and allow you to duel with your back against the wall like no other. At this point you should already have your ult and you should start being a bully as your hitting hard. Durring this time of the game you should be looking to pick off weaker enemies to establish a lead in the game. Also Nightmare Batman is also the best point defender by this time so you should look to defend your team's points against attack, you will easily be abel to 1 v 2 and will often win 1 v 3s will fighting on your point. As you enter late game you pick up the Lobo's chain to let you stick to enemies even harder.  As my last item I pick up Coda Blade. The passive that reduces enemies' healing effects solidfies your place as the dueling master. If you made it this far you are the strongest person on the map and you should abuse this fact. You should be tearing around the map looking for good 1 v 2 oprotunities making the plays that will win your team the game.
***Note - While working on the more expensive items of this build take advantage of the refundable items in this game, use the spare gold you have left over from purchasing your main items, during a back, to buy either the Promethium Mace or Hawkman's Harness. These items give you a boost to either attack dmg or health respectivly once you complete either of the items you can sell it back for full gold and use the money to purchase an item from the above build.

    Combat Mechanics
As nightmare batman one of your biggest tasks is picking off the weak, looking to take advantage of low hit point enemies. To do this look to engage from the fog of war with your stealth (w), if convient coming off an accelerator pad is a great way to start a gank. As you come speeding in while stealthed you should look to get right next to the enemy, then you quickly cast your batarang (q) at the enemy, as soon as the batarang animation starts you imediatly ult. (Note its pretty rare but if you happen to pick up a health relic during your chase you can activate your E before your ult to increase dmg even more). After this most things will be dead but your Q should be back up off cooldown after your ult (this is why we use it before) allowing you to chase down the injured prey.
