  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

Why Batman on Coast City?: He is fun to play, and now his ult makes him feel more like Batman. He has decent clear times, and his ganks are still pretty good. Even though on hit effects were removed from his W, he still has decent burst and sticking ability.

Stolen Powers: Because of Batman's lack luster very early clears, you definitely need detonate. Your other power is up to you. You can grab something like invulnerability, consume or even teleport as your second power instead of Psychic Assault.

Important Skill Notes: Q gives a mark proc that gets consumed on any damage you do to a target. Use it to its full effect.
W no longer procs on hit effects and the charges have a long recharge time.
E does great AoE damage while debuffing enemy attack speed.
Passive: You gain a percentage damage increase when in stealth. This is great for jumping on someone from a stealth pad.
Ult: This recently got completely reworked. You can use it on targets over walls and you will become untargetable while in the air. Be sure to pay attention to its range and chose your target as soon as possible. Fail at this and you have completely wasted your ult because you will just return to the center of the cloud.

The Build: Start Marauder Knife T2 and 2 health pots and head into the jungle. Don't level marauder knife anymore and just start working on getting Coda up to T3. Once you do this, pick up Claymore T2, and rush Timepack to cap. Once you do this, pick up Batman's Utility Belt. This item is still good on him even thought it won't consume the proc on W any more. This is also going to be the point in the game where you will need the bonus health and CDR most from the belt.

Once you get the belt capped, cap Deathstroke's Claymore and grab T2 Atomic Axe as soon as possible. The unmodded Terminate is kind of lack luster so there is no reason to invest into until now. If you wish to mod Terminate 2 instead if you remember to use activatable items I recommend this highly, cap Claymore any time before capping Utility Belt when you have the free credits to do so.

Now onto your options. If they have a lot of CC, I would suggest building Mobious Core now, if you hadn't done it already. Sometimes you will have to get this item before Atomic Axe if their hard CC is that bad and it is effecting your ability to be an assassin. If this is not the case, pick up the item from the non-core lists you think will help you achieve what you want and need the most.

"The How" Jungling: Q the large creature in the camp then E to do AoE damage to the whole camp and consume the mark on the main creature. Now basic attack the smaller creatures, and then rinse and repeat at the next camp. Try not to use more than one W while clearing a camp. I try not to even use one on the smaller camps just because the cooldown early is very long on the charges. I want those charges up for ganking, counter-jungling and defending against the counter jungle.

Batman is a great duelist early even though he is a little squishy. If you have all of your skills up, and full energy with most of your health. Head into the enemy jungle and try to pick up one of the fringe jungle camps and get right out.

"The How" Ganking: Gank only when the enemy is pushed down the lane passed the half way point. With even a little coordination from your laners, you will pick up a kill with ease. Start off be trying to close enough, preferably in stealth, to land a Q and proc it without consuming a W charge. Try to only use your W once they blow their escape. If they have no escape, forget everything I just said and try to land a Q+W combo from stealth if possible. Once you W in, slow them with Psychic Assault if you chose to take it. Now just focus them out as fast as possible.

"The How" Teamfighting: Remember as a general rule with assassins, don't just jump right in. Jump on low/out of place targets and back out. Rinse and repeat. You also have to realize Batman doesn't have as much burst as the other assassins so you really have to plan out your dives. Remember yo use Terminate when you pick it up. It will help out even without Terminate 2.

After level 6, and once you get Timepack capped, you can have some fun ganks/teamfights. Activate timepack from a little ways back, stealth or over a wall/object if your team has solid vision on an enemy. Now W in, use terminate if you have it, Q, basic attack/E, Ult and W again if you have to to pick up a kill, and use timepack again to get out of there before they can react and hit you with hard CC so you can port back out without a problem. You can now reposition and take out the next high importance target. You have to do this rather fast to pull this off so don't hesitate in your combos.
