  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

    Zatanna's Role
Zatanna is considered a controller(support). Although she plays well as a controller, she is capable of dealing tons of damage like a blaster. This guide will be explained based on her role as a supporty blaster. I will mostly cover how to play her in a duo bot lane, but the build in this guide works great in solo mid lane too.

    Items and Amplifier Sets
I don't have many amplifiers pages, so I usually just use my power blaster page for every power champion, including Zatanna.
    My Modded Items:
    1. Overclocked [[Two Face's Coin (2)]] : Keyword Power Harvest: Gain stacks every 45 seconds (Tier 2)
    2. Altered Oa Gambit (1) : Keyword Investment: 5 Credits per 10 seconds (Tier 1)
(gambits are almost necessary at this point in time, but when they are changed it will still be smart to have at least one for early game on controllers)
    3. Empowered Nil Ring : Keyword Recycling: Increased damage to Drones at low health (Tier 1)
(this is a waste of a mod slot, so don't take this unless you are a noob like me and suck at last hitting)
Optional Item Mods for Core Items: (other mods you may want to take instead of investment or recycle)
    -Enhanced [[Doctor Destiny's Dreamstone (4)]] : +15 Power Damage (Tier 3)
    -Enhanced Cosmic Belt (3) : +75 Health (Tier 1)
-Accelerated The Logoz (3) : Keyword Power Damage Collector: 2 stacks from coins, lose only 25% on death (Tier 2)
-Capacity The Logoz (3) : Keyword Power Damage Collector: +15 maximum stacks, lose 75% on death (Tier 2)
(basically, only take this if you are a god)
    -Enhanced The Logoz (3) : +150 Will (Tier 3)

    My Augments:
    -S.T.A.R. Labs Augment Codename: BLAST : +4.21 Power Damage (G), +1.8 Power Penetration (G)
    -S.T.A.R. Labs Augment Codename: NEBULA : +4.21 Power Damage (G), 1.56% Cooldown Reduction (S)
    -S.T.A.R. Labs Augment Codename: LIGHTNING : +1.8 Power Penetration (G), 1.56% Cooldown Reduction (S)
-Kord Industries Augment Codename: VENGEANCE : +3.02 Movement Speed (G), +18.51 Health (B)
Total: 8.42 Power Damage, 3.6 Power Penetration, 3.12% Cooldown Reduction, 3.02 Movement Speed, 18.51 Health
I recommend finding what augments work best for you, since I am no expert on these things. I prefer to take the flat numbers to get the small advantage early.

    Item Build Order:
Buy Oa Gambit (1) + Modular Health Vial (2) ---> at 500 credits Nil Ring ---> [[Doctor Destiny's Dreamstone (2)]] ---> Cosmic Belt (3) ---> [[Two Face's Coin (2)]] ---> [[Doctor Destiny's Dreamstone (4)]] ---> Sell any of the starting items when in need of an extra slot---> Buy  The Starheart (3) ---> The Book Of Eternity (2) --> Last item = optional/defensive item

Also, you can sell the Cosmic Belt (3) when you have enough gold for The Book Of Eternity (2). This way you can have two free slots for optional/defensive items.

How to Play in the Bottom Lane
When playing Zatanna, you want to be aggressive and get in as much poke as you can without taking too much damage. This is easily achievable through the use of repeated Q's. Although the main goal is to put a lot of pressure on the lane, you have to watch your own will pool, and casting constant Q's will make you run out fast. Once you get [[Doctor Destiny's Dreamstone (2)]], your will issues become less taxing.
-Know when to use your E-Q combo. This is a big source of  burst damage later in the game.
-Know when to use your E as a shield for your allies. When the shield is broken, a small aoe heal casts. You can break your allies shield with your Q.
-Know when to use your W defensively/offensively, and know when to use it on different targets. Using Zatanna's W in lane against the enemy can be lethal for them. It can be used to set up ganks and it makes it easier to land your Q on the enemy.
Zatanna has one of the best ults in the game! Her ult causes the enemy to transform into a rabbit, reducing power/attack armor up to 25% at max level. Her bunny can be used to single one person out of a fight. You usually save this for the hard hitting assassins that everyone plays (flash players, I am talking about you). You can also use it defensively to save your squishies from the hard hitting front line bruisers. It is completely situational, but if used correctly it is a guaranteed kill or save.

Thanks for reading! Leave me comments and tips! I am definitely not the best at this game so I like to receive feedback. Also, if I left anything out that should have been included in the guide tell me! I can update this any time.
