  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

    Welcome to Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn is a strong champion, that functions as a hybrid in between a controller, and a marksman. This guide focuses on Gotham Heights as a top lane champion. Harley Quinn can also function as a strong bottom lane champion.

    About the Guide Creator

My name is Genericke. Currently I'm on a team called Knights of the Heights. Knights of Heights is one of the strongest teams playing infinite crisis, dedicated to mastering Gotham Heights. I'm well known for playing mid/long ranged blasters and controllers like Catwoman, Star Sapphire, and Zatanna. My most played champion, and highest win-rate champion is Harley Quinn. She was the first champion that I bought. I instantly fell in love with her unique playstyle, and overall quirkiness as a character.

Gotham Heights has a ranked queue enabled from August 14th-August 17th. During this time I achieved the highest elo out of any other player on any server at 1608. I know Gotham Heights.

    Gotham Heights Briefing

In Gotham Heights there are five control points. Two of them are close to your base, two of them close to the enemy's base, and one final point it located at the top of the map. Beginning at 6 minutes, a sixth point will spawn called the orbital cannon. It's a point that's slower to capture, but when won by a team, spawns several robots that will assault any points that the winning team doesn't currently own. It also acts as a control point for a brief period of time, before becoming unlocked again and contestable.

The current Gotham Heights meta has four players capping the middle point closest to their base, before running to the top point on the map. One player caps the bottom point closest to their base, and battles 1v1 against an enemy laner for control of the health relic, and eventually the other person's control point.

    Itemization

[[Deadshot's Visor (4)]] and [[Joe Chill's Revolver (4)]] are core on Harley Quinn. It gives her all the stats that she needs to be effective. After that, it comes down to preference, and what the enemy team is building.

If you finding yourself wanting to build defensive items, I prefer [[Metallo's Heart (3)]], or Kryptonian War Armor (4). [[Metallo's Heart (3)]] gives you additional will, and a powerful aura for reducing damage output from AD autoattackers. Kryptonian War Armor (4) is a power damage item that improves Harley Quinn's ability to heal herself, while also increasing her movement speed. Both are great buys. These can be built as a third item, or anytime after that.

Coda Blade (3) is a powerful item for helping you defeat other squishy targets. The armor penetration is outstanding, and it grants a pretty good chunk of attac damage. It's also really cheap. It can be built as your third item, or anytime after that.

Atomic Axe (2) is built if the enemy team is full of tankier targets. I would build this 4th or even later.

Velocity 9 Implants (4) synergizes quite well with [[Joe Chill's Revolver (4)]]. If you're ahead and find yourself not needing any defensive options or the low armor cheezing from Coda Blade (3), it's a good buy. Otherwise, build it fourth.

Claw Of Horus (3) is a strong item and stacks with coda blade. I'd build it if the enemy team had a strong marksman on it that I was worried about.

Playing as Harley Quinn on Gotham Heights - Top

Harley Quinn is a strong top lane champion. She brings a great deal of damage and utility for her own team. While she can be played as a controller, I find myself preferring to accentuate her strong marksman ability. Harley Quinn is the only ranged autoattacker in the game that has hard crown control. Her ultimate: Puddin' Time is an AoE knockup that's great for teamfights. Her w ability: Back Off is a great tool for peeling melee targets off of herself and allies.

Try to use her ultimate in such a way that it will hit as many high priority targets as possible. This can mean either knocking up the enemy backline, or knockinp up several targets to help peel for youself of an ally. The ability has a high cooldown, and relatively low damage. Use it primarily for its utility, and not as an additional tool for bursting unless it would help you secure a kill.

Back Off can seem a bit tricky to use. It has extremely short range. The distance is knocks targets back, is massive. While it can be used to knock important targets out of position, don't go out of your way to try and make these plays happen. It can be tricky to pull off, and can easily backfire. I've seen people attempt to hit targets into walls with it. This doesn't give Harley any extra damage. Back off's primary use should be to hit dangerous targets away from you or your team. It does decent damage, but I find I don't really use it for that purpose. The utility that it brings from the massive knockback is enough of its own, that I find myself maxing this ability last.

Harley Quinn brings a respectable amount of damage with her passive: BFFs, and her q ability: Pies! Try weaving in her q ability with her autoattacks. Otherwise you might accidentally cancel an auto to throw a pie. Additionally, try and hit as many targets as possible with her Pies!. It should be really easy to hit 3 enemy champions with Pies! for the first fight at top, as well as any fights at the Orbital Cannon. Her Passive is a decent autoattack increase. Try and keep it up for as long as possible to increase her damage output. The passive becomes increasingly noticeable as you reach end game.

Harley Quinn brings an impressive amount of utility with her healing ability: Best Medicine, as well as a movement speed increase with her passive. When using her heal strictly for the movement speed bonus from her passive, try and target an ally with it. This way, a third target will receive the BFFs buff. Harley Quinn's heal is extremely powerful. Be aware of enemies with healing reduction items such as Coda Blade (4) or Cosmic Staff (3), as it will reduce its effectiveness by 50%.

Playing Harley Quinn on Gotham Heights - Bot Lane

Harley Quinn is a powerful bot laner against a number of opponents. Try and poke targets down with your Pies! by either clearing a minion from each wave guaranteeing the hit on your opponent, of waiting for them to step in front of the ranged minions.

Beware of certain matchups. Harley Quinn has a bit of difficulty trading with marksmen early game. Green Arrow, Mecha Wonder Woman, and Gaslight Batman are all pretty difficult to deal with early on. Shazam also has a strong enough early game, with good follow up damage, that he can give Harley a lot of problems. Once he hits level 6 he outwright wins the matchup.

Some Harley Quinn players like to skip [[Deadshot's Visor (3)]] initially. What they'll do is they won't buy a single item, they'll capture the point, immediate go back, and then buy [[Joe Chill's Revolver (1)]]. If you see a Harley Quinn doing this, you can easily punish her for it by running top lane and turning the first fight into a 5v4. You should be able to come back in time to reach your own point before she can cap it.

    Alternative Harley Quinn Builds

I see some players preferring to play Harley Quinn as more of a controller. They'll stack will on her to increase the power of her heal. Her heal is strong, but it has a long cooldown. By building attack damage, she's able to remain threatening and valuable in between heal cooldowns.

I also see some players building power damage on her. Harley Quinn's power damage ratios aren't that impressive. Just because the game says she increases in power by building both power damage and attack damage, doesn't mean that it's true.

Harley Quinn isn't going to put out damage like a marksman, and she won't be able to control like Poison Ivy or Nightmare Superman. Going too deep down either one of these paths does this champion a disservice. You pick Harley Quinn because she brings respectable damage, with impressive utility. By using her to her full potential, you'll find that she's one of the most powerful ranged AD options for Gotham Heights.

    End Notes

Hope you enjoyed the guide and found it informative! Good luck on Gotham heights!
