  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

This is a general build for both GH and CC, as it doesn't really need to change much.  Ivy's Healing Wave is an obvious choice for a healer; on GH I usually grab some invulnerability and on CC I usually grab either camera's or X-Ray for the second.  Grab the Enforcer: Tough Jungler Amp/Mod for the cdr and additional 20 Attack Armor on Metallo's.  The other Enforcer Mod can work better, but only if you know you are getting Mogo and you feel a little slow.  The Controller Mods are complete garbage, don't be fooled by them as Ivy.

The focus of this build is pure support.  Whenever I get a kill, it's usually from an accidental auto-attack or from a 1v1 where the enemy refuses to believe my health won't stay high forever (but it usually does).

    What to do
The main thing to keep an eye on as Ivy is her stacks in her passive.  Used correctly, a teamfight can be greatly changed in your favor.  When you get to 4 or 5 stacks, hug your teammates and fire off an ability or two to heal them up (and hope they stand in it).  Another important thing to remember, you don't want to play Ivy as a button-masher.  You aren't there to melt down the enemy.  Save your blind for ADCs and Assassins when they are on yours.  Shield as often as you can to whoever is getting focused.  Ult on teamfights or to clear out larger groups of minions.  And use your rootstrike to aid your teammates in escapes and chases.

Survivability and Will are the items you want to focus on.  Anything else is mostly a waste.  Luckily for us, there are a fair amount of will/armor items.

On GH, against a balanced compostition of AD/PD or mostly AD, I usually start with Metallo's heart and the Will regen gambit.  First back to base, sell that Gambit and buy Abin Sur's (2).  Teams with a lot of PD, I usually start with Entropy Aegis and Abin Sur's Lantern.

On CC, I grab Abin Sur\'s Lantern (to help with wave clears) and Tektite Vial.

Early priorites for item purchasing is as follows.
[[Abin Sur's Lantern (2)]] - Rank to starts to stack will, which as discussed earlier, is your bread and butter.

[[Metallo's Heart (3)]] - Everything you want is on this item.  CDR means more stacks in the passive, will for the buff to shield and passive, and armor to help against damage taken.  Even better, at rank 3, dampening aura helps against all those pesky assassins/ADCs with their fancy V9\'s.

[[Steel's Breastplate (3)]] - Early levels of this item are still really helpful with will+armor, but rank 3 is golden.  Some damage taken is blocked by will.  You are stacking will already, you can afford to lose some to live longer.  Just be sure to activate it if you run out of mana, as it atuo turns off.

Entropy Aegis (3) - If you are laning against PD, it\'s nice to get some armor for it.  While this item doesn't have as much will as the AD defense items, it does have a nice little skill block on it at rank 3.

    Optional Items
Note that maxing the other items prioritizes over everything else.
Gorilla Grodd's helmet is kind of lackluster, but if you aren\'t having any issues with staying alive, it can\'t hurt to get a little extra will.

Mogo - if you find yourself the focus of alot of AD melee, this is a really good counter with health and an offensive ability.

Ra's ah Ghul's Robe - Obvious choice for survivability.

Kryptonian War Armor - Only if your enemy has a lot of PD damage.... I mean like 4/5 power damage.

I can't really reccomend you stack any additional PD outside of Abin Sur's.  If you team is overly dominating (which means you probably won't even get to a 5th item) or if your team is getting absolutely dominated because of a lack of competent damage dealers (which again.. you probably won't make it to a 5th item and at this point, does it really matter?) I could see grabbing Starheart maybe.
